4. Subscription Terms
The Services are provided on a subscription basis. The current subscription fee is $39.95 per month, billed automatically until canceled by the User. Hometab may adjust the subscription fee amount at any time with a 60-day notice.
Subscription includes access to the Hometab feature and other functionalities provided through the platform. Fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. You may cancel your subscription at any time via the account settings in the application.
5. Hometab Feature Terms
5.1 Description
The Hometab feature offers eligible Users access to small-dollar advances to manage short-term expenses. The feature is provided solely as a benefit of the subscription and is not a credit or lending product.
5.2 Repayment Authorization
By enrolling in Hometab, you authorize Hometab to initiate ACH debit transactions from:
Your linked bank account (via Plaid or an equivalent provider); and/or
Your linked payroll account (via Argyle or an equivalent provider).
Repayment is expected as a condition of continued access to the feature but is not legally enforceable as a debt.
5.3 Service Suspension
Access to the Hometab feature may be suspended if:
Both repayment methods are disconnected;
A repayment attempt is unsuccessful and not remedied.
Hometab reserves the right to pause services until a valid repayment method is restored and any outstanding amounts are repaid.
5.4 No Interest, Collections, or Credit Reporting
No interest or APR is charged;
No late fees or penalties apply;
Hometab does not engage in debt collection;
Hometab does not report repayment activity to credit bureaus.
5.5 Risk-Based Access Limits
To maintain regulatory compliance and ensure responsible access to the Hometab feature, all user access to funds is capped at a maximum of $500 USD per eligible user, regardless of income level or behavioral tier. This cap is subject to change based on regulatory guidance and Hometab's internal risk assessments.
Funds accessed through the Hometab feature are provided as a benefit of your paid subscription and are not considered loans, credit, or debt under applicable law. Access is voluntary, non-binding, and contingent on active subscription status, linked accounts, and adherence to behavioral eligibility requirements.
Initial access limits are determined using a risk-based methodology. Hometab evaluates user income, account connectivity, and behavior to assign access tiers:
Low Risk: Verified direct deposit, consistent income, bank and payroll accounts linked; eligible for access up to 10–12% of monthly net income (e.g., $300–$500).
Medium Risk: No direct deposit switch but consistent income and engagement; eligible for 5–10% of monthly net income (e.g., $150–$300).
High Risk: Irregular income, disconnections, or other risk indicators; eligible for 1–3% of monthly net income (e.g., $50–$100).
Hometab may adjust your access limit over time based on your repayment history, subscription status, and changes in risk profile.
6. Bill Splitting
Users may utilize the bill splitting functionality to divide eligible recurring payments (e.g., rent, utilities) into two installments per month, aligned with payroll dates. This feature is designed to facilitate budgeting and does not constitute credit.
7. Credit Reporting (Optional)
Hometab may partner with third-party providers to facilitate optional rent reporting to credit bureaus. By opting in, you authorize Hometab and its partners to:
Access your rent payment data;
Share necessary identity and payment information with credit bureaus;
Comply with applicable laws and industry standards for credit reporting.
Credit reporting is not guaranteed and may not impact all credit scoring models.
8. User Conduct
You agree to use the Services in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. You further agree not to:
Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive activity;
Circumvent repayment obligations;
Interfere with the operation or security of the Services.
Hometab reserves the right to terminate or restrict access to the Services for violations of this section.
9. Termination
You may cancel your account and subscription at any time. Hometab may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, for any reason including, but not limited to, violation of this Agreement.
Upon termination, you remain responsible for any outstanding subscription fees or unfulfilled repayment obligations as of the date of termination.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hometab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Services. In no event shall our aggregate liability exceed the total amount paid by you in subscription fees during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
